Echinoderms

Q: What are echinoderms ?
A: Echinoderms are radially symmetrical animals which are only found in the sea. The word 'echinoderms' means "spiny skin'' in Greek. Most, but not all, of them have spiny skin. Starfish, sea stars, brittle stars, sea urchins, feather stars, sea cucumbers and lamprometra (feather star) are types of echinoderms.

Q: What are sea cucumbers ?
A: Sea cucumbers are creatures which resemble a football. They are generally found on their side at the bottom of the ocean. Sea cucumbers belong to a sub-category of echinoderms known as holothuroidea. They feed upon plankton and other organic matter. Some stay in a current that brings a steady supply of food, and spend hours there. The tentacles open up and gather food in the current of the ocean. The sea cucumber uses some tentacles to eta, while the other tentacles collect food. Most sea cucumbers are poisonous.

Q: How do sea cucumbers protect themselves ?
A: The sea cucumber has an unusual way of defending itself. It throws out all of it's internal organs! This either scares off or satisfies the predators. The sea cucumber has the ability to grow another set of internal organs. Some sea cucumbers even secrete a sticky substance in order to defend themselves against their enemies. If anyone gets this sticky material on its body, it will not be able to remove it unless the skin is shaved off.

Q: What is a starfish ?
A: Sea stars are sometimes called starfish, though they are not really fish as they do not have vertebrae and fins. They are usually two sub-types of sea stars - asteroids which are the true sea stars
and sun stars. Ophiuroideas are brittle stars and basket stars. Each sea star has hundreds of tiny feet at the bottom of each ray. These tube feet are also known as podia. Theses tiny feet are filled with sea water. Apart from this, the vascular system f the sea star is also filled with sea water. By slowly moving water from the vascular system into the tiny feet, the sea star can move its foot by expanding it, and thus it moves around. Star fish eat many things. Their diet consists of barnacles, snails, sea urchins, clams and mussels.

Q: What do brittle stars look like ?
Image result for brittle starsA: The brittle star is also known as the serpent star. It is a spiny, hard-skinned animal having long arms, which lives on he rocky sea floor, in the shallow waters to greater depths. They are of many colours, including shades of brown, red-brown, yellow and cream. If a brittle star's arm is cut off it has the capability to regenerate. Brittle stars which have multiple-forked arms are also known as basket stars. Most brittle stars are less than 1 inch (2.5cm) in diameter having a hard exoskeleton. They don't have a brain; instead have a simple ring of nerve cells which carries out information all around the body. Tube feet located along the arms, sense light. They feed on decaying matter and plankton. Some brittle stars can also kill small animals. Compared to starfish, brittle stars have a much smaller central disc with no anus. Wastes are disposed off through the mouth which is centrally located on the underside.

Books

Books books books and books! That's what I'm always thinking about. They fill up your mind with imagination. Books are a store of knowledge and wisdom. They contain a variety of pleasures. And most important, books never ever misguide us. All they do is build up our character and take away our sadness. I would prefer everybody to read as much books as you can to be more creative, more healthy and also to increase your vocabulary. And once you do you would would never resist a good book. Start with short novels. Just try not to read to many scary books because you really don't want to give yourselves nightmares. My best Author is Enid Blyton. I just love her books so much. They are irresistible. And once you'll start reading books i guess you'll think the same too. Oh and yes, I also totally love The Dork Diaries. They are out of this world (for real).

The Greedy Dog

Once there lived a greedy dog named Bruno who was always searching for food. His tummy never got full and he was always hungry. One morning he was starving so badly that he could even rip off his own skin but he tried not to, so for the sake of food he walked for like 6 hours. He was lucky to end up right in front of a butcher's shop. And you should've seen him at that time. He was as happy as the most happiest dog in the world. He picked up a piece of meat and started gobbling it up. He thought about saving half of it for later. As he was walking away holding his piece of meat, he passed by a river. In the river he though he actually saw another dog holding a piece of meat as well. Well off course Bruno thought that one piece was not enough for him so he jumped into the river with his own meat in his mouth as well. That other dog was actually Bruno's own reflection. Once he jumped into the water he accidentally let go his piece of meat and was terribly angry about that. Especially when he found out that in the water, was his own reflection. POOR Bruno. But he did get payed correctly for his greediness.

"Best Friends"

I'll always be beside you
until the very end,
wiping all your tears away,
being your best friend
I'll smile when you smile,
and feel all the pain you do,
and if you cry a single tear,
I promise I'll cry too

MY THOUGHTS

Friends are a wonderful blessing from god and we should thank him for giving every one of us a good friend.  We should always take care of them if you want them to do the same. We should always love them because they are to be loved. Now over here I am going to clear this confusion about friends. Some say that a best friend can only be one. but they're wrong. Best friends can be more than one. Even I have a bunch of BEST friends who are always there for me. I don't know what they think about me but i think that they are the bestest friends ever. Well sometimes we get into fights and the like but all of us try to make it up to each other and it goes pretty well. And u all should do the same. Just remember ," A friend in need is a friend indeed"

Effects of Video Games

Are video games good or bad for you? To be honest they can be both.

Some think that these games corrupt the brain. But many scientists and physiologists found out that video games can actually have many benefits -- the main one is making kids smart.
"Video games change your brain". Playing video games changes the brain's physical structure the same way as learning to read, playing a piano, or navigating using a map.

Positive Effects

When kids play a game like angry birds or cut the rope he trains his brain to think of creative ways to solve the puzzle.

While playing some games I have noticed that you have to do many things the same time especially in fighting games. That forces and encourages the kid to think faster and quicker with logical ways. That encourages the kid to make fast analysis and decisions.

Playing video games develops perseverance in the child. Usually in higher levels of games the player loses the first time but he keeps on trying again until he succeeds and moves on to the next level.

Video games sometimes makes  learning fun.

Well that's enough benefits for now. Next are the negative effects.

Negative Effects

In my view kids who play fighting games are very aggressive all the time.

Most of the bad effects of video games are blamed on the violence they contain.
Too much video game playing makes the child socially isolated.

The child will give less time to other activities like doing homework, reading, sports and spending time with family and friends.

Some video games teach kids the wrong value like violent behaviour.

Games can confuse reality and fantasy.

Video games may also have bad effects on the child's health including obesity, muscular and skeletal disorders.

When playing online your kid can pickup bad language and behaviour, from other people.

Tips For Story Writing

                                                Theme

A theme is something important in a story, like a lesson. It's not really important for every story to have a theme, but it's better if it does. Theme is sometimes defined as the moral of a story, though theme doesn't have to be a moral. A stories theme may not come out as a moral at all. For example in the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the theme is staying good and pure at heart, and then being rewarded because of that. Themes may deal with principles and abstractions rather than people. Usually a writer decides upon the theme before writing the story for example this story will be about jealousy, bravery, hard-work pays off, friendship, loyalty, magic, kindness, love or faith.

                                                        Plot

The plot of a story describes the events that make up a story or the main part of the story. Its like the plan or the idea of the story. You can't make up a story without a plot. Here is an example  of the plot of a short story "Todd loses his job".

A plot builds up having five main elements:

EXPOSITION: Part of the work that introduces characters, setting and situation.
RISING ACTION: All the events that lead up to the climax.
CLIMAX: The highest point of interest or suspense in the story.
FALLING ACTION: All the events that come after the climax
RESOLUTION: The end of the story\conflict.

                                                  STORY STRUCTURE

Decide about writing either in “present tense” or in “past tense.” Writing in past tense means writing as if the story already happened. Writing in present tense means writing as if the story is happening right now. Stick to one tense at a time. Its also important to decide whether the story is fiction or non-fiction. Figure out the problem in the story and the solution.

                                                                    CHARACTERS

Before you start writing, know your characters well. Your story should have a main character. You don’t have to describe a character completely. It’s enough to say one or two things about how a character looks or moves or speaks. A main character should have at least one flaw or weakness. Perfect characters are not very interesting. For example the main character in the story Alice in the wonderland is Alice and in many other stories there are characters too basically every story has characters. Its not important to have a character as a human, it could even be an animal or your own imagination.

                                                                          Setting
Set your story in a place and time to make it interesting. Select a place in your story for example the place taken in the book," Charlie and the chocolate factory" is the chocolate factory.

"I'd Like To Have"

I'd like everybody to have equal rights
I want everybody to have the same bites

I'd like everybody to have equal rights
For me everybody is on the same height

I'd like everybody to have equal rights
We could start by avoiding fights

I'd like everybody to have equal rights
We will use all our might to reach the light

MY THOUGHTS

This is a poem I wrote in my free time. Through this poem I am trying to tell you that every human  in this world has a right and that others should respect it.
But are we?
I thought about writing this poem because everybody is equal to me, and they should be for you as well. For example, I've been hearing for a long time that white people are better than black people just because they have a fair complexion, but that's wrong because each one of us is a human and we are alike. We're like brothers and sisters, and that's how it should be. We will always stand together against our fears. Just make sure you always remember: Judging people is dumb. It's like judging M&M's by their color – Some people like the red ones better, and some like the green ones, but it's important you remember that underneath, they are ALL just delicious pieces of chocolate that all taste the same regardless of the color.
